Oak Flooring FAQ
What's the difference between white oak and red oak flooring?
Although the color difference between white oak and red oak flooring is not very noticeable to many, you can visually tell red oak and white oak flooring apart by the undertones. Red oak will showcase a subtle pink undertone and white oak presents a browner, often yellow tint. The staining process will draw out a more noticeable color difference and the stain color itself will play a major factor as well. Lighter stains will allow you to still see a pink hue from road oak, while darker stains will show less of a pink or yellow undertone. No matter what your favorite shade of engineered oak hardwood flooring is, the trademark character and graining will help you to create gorgeous, warm spaces with undeniable natural beauty.
